E. Darlene Nunery
President from 2002-2006

Charmette E. Darlene Nunery became a member of the Chapter in 1995. She served as Chapter President for four (4) years. She aptly, and with great enthusiasm, brought about change within the Chapter, and expanded its outreach in the Richmond Metropolitan area. She was awarded a plague of Appreciation for dedicated service from 2002-2006. She also served as Business/Event Manager, which ensured that the Chapter continued to move forward in ongoing endeavors, and have the ability to remain open to new and exciting endeavors. Charmette Nunery also served four years as Vice-President for the Richmond Metropolitan Chapter. In recognition of Darlene’s leadership role with the Richmond Metropolitan Chapter, the Richmond Free Press interviewed and highlighted her as the Personality of the Week in April 2006. Currently, she serves as the Chapter’s Historian.

Charmette Nunery is a native of Norwood, VA. She is a graduate of Maggie L. Walker High School, Richmond, VA. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from St. Paul’s College, Lawrenceville, VA; and a Master in Education, Administration and Supervision from Virginia State University Ettrick, VA.
